Add an item
Create an item in the inventory, choosing its characteristics and how it is managed.

Open ‘Items › Inventaire’ (Items › Inventory)
Click ‘Ajouter un item’ (Add an item).

Enter the name and category
Enter a descriptive name, then select a lowest-level category, meaning a category with no sub-categories. Its path appears in the list to help you recognise it.

Set the ID
Enter an ID or accept the suggested one with ‘Utiliser cet identifiant’ (Use this ID). It must be unique within the site.

Choose the characteristics
Select ‘Physique’ (Physical) or ‘Numérique’ (Digital). For a physical item, then choose ‘Avec retour’ (Returnable) or ‘Consommable’ (Consumable), followed by ‘Un seul modèle’ (No variants) or ‘Avec variantes’ (With variants). Turn on ‘Suivre le stock’ (Track stock) if needed.

Enter the stock and variants
For a tracked item with no variants, enter the opening stock and, if you want one, an alert threshold.
With variants, add each value separately, with its quantity and threshold when stock is tracked. Click ‘Ajouter la variante’ (Add variant). At least one variant is required; the item then becomes the parent of its variants and has no stock of its own.

Complete the options and create the item
Use ‘Remplir les champs optionnels’ (Fill in optional fields) to add purchase details, the brand, the supplier or the collection point. If the QR management capability is available, you can use ‘Paramétrer les étiquettes QR’ (Set up QR labels).
Click ‘Créer l’item’ (Create item).
